PLASTIC SAMPLE
We are ready to release the new plastic sample kit. The sample, as well as detailed data sheets, will be available for order through this site shortly. The samples help to more accurately show the properties of different types of plastics on the market including general use plastics such as, nylon and polyethylene as well as engineering grade plastic used for metal replacement. We will also be providing a range of 'eco samples' showcasing some of the cutting edge developments of green plastics.
ALASKAN ROCK LIDS
We have developed and produced the lids for the Alaskan Rock bottles of liqueur. The lids act like a traditional cork but unlike other examples of plastic corks, the final product has been achieved using a single mould. The lid was colour matched to the Alaskan Rock orange and complements the unique bottle.
SHEAR WATER SET
The Shearwater set is proprietary range of drink ware that addresses the issues current glassware faces in the club/hotel environment. Regular glassware is prone to breakages from dropping and thermal shock and therefore constantly needs replacing. Where current glassware has a typical lifespan of approximately 4 months in a pub/club, through the use of polycarbonate, the Shearwater range has a lifespan of 3 years. This dramatic increase results in a sustainable advantage that we have helped to create.
BIO BOTTLES
Save money and the environment! Together with Vert Design we have produced a water bottle that will degrade once it has reached landfill. Per annum 200 billion bottles of water are consumed globally and the numbers are rising (10% per year). This is becoming a serious enviornmental hazard. The solution is easy: carry your own bottle and use tap water. The Bio Bottle will degrade in 1 - 5 years opposed to 900 years if a standard bottle was used. The Bio Bottle is made using Ecopure, an additive that attracts microbes only when discarded into an active microbial environment = landfill. The microbes efficently turn the plastic to biomass. The material properties are not affected and so you can keep your bottle as long as you like.
STELLA ARTOIS CUPS
We, along with Vert Design, have created a plastic beer cup for Stella Artois. They are high quality plastic pints, which aim to avoid common safety issues with normal beer glases. The pints are durable, high quality polycarbonate. This improves the cups scratch resistance and adds a glass like look and feel. Designed for a long lifespan, the pints are almost unbreakable and therefore a lot safer than standard glassware.
NESTLE DOG BOWLS
A new range of dog bowls for Nestle Purina Pet Care have been designed and ready for release. We have been involved with the entire project and are soon to commence production of the full range. The bowls have been designed with the dog's wellbeing in mind. Through extensive trials and testing, the new bowls feature more ergonomic feeding positions, non-slip bases and challenging forms to help prevent bogs from eating too quickly!
SONY
Sony have worked in collaboration with us in order to develop their new advanced camera housing units. The housing has been moulded from an extremely durable ABS in order to protect the delicate equipment inside. The design involved making several electronic components including surveillance and electronic broadcast equipment for the medical industry.
